The Chris Brown-Rihanna reunion was a public relations ruse which unfortunately played into the vulnerabilities of an emotionally unhinged young woman. Now for whatever reason, that charade is unraveling, starting with the time period sometime after the hush-hush reunion at P. Diddy’s Star Island hideaway near Miami Beach.

Partying as therapy: Rihanna and gal pals at the Los Angeles Bar Deluxe, March 24, 2009. Will she withstand the scrutiny of a public already confused by her post-incident antics? Or will the resultant public reaction to her ambivalence curtail her 15 minutes of fame? The thought is scary but real, but we doubt she knows this.
The trouble started with a tussle inside Chris’ Brown’s SUV the night of Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy bash. Everything after that has been just a side show. Recent events however show that that little side show may be careening out of control of those who would choreograph it into a pas de deux worthy of a Pavarotti aria. The imaginary love story is no longer capable of being sustained.
Now whether Rihanna has been in front or behind the loop of developments is a matter of speculation. The long and short of it is that in mid to late March Rihanna had been seen out on the town alone with just her girlfriends. And on April 11th Chris had been seen at a Los Angeles tattoo parlor with Natalie Mejia of the girlie group, Girlicious. And as recently as April 19th, Rihanna had been seen partying it up with L.A. Clippers star, Baron Davis and company at the occasion of his birthday.

Young Lions: Chris Brown(left) and Omarion - Solidarity of the pride.
Chris’ night on the town with the boys at the Luxe Lounge on April 11 was noted here at Cyberaxis for several reasons. Brown’s posse consisted of young lions, Tyrese, Omarion and actor Keith Robinson. This incredible show of pride force, gave us cause for pause beyond the obligatory flirting with waitresses that went on at the lounge. There is a certain vibe that goes with these gatherings which doesn’t quite jibe with the P.R. Chris and or his team are trying to project at this critical time in the court case. The other real possibility is that Chris Brown could be turning into a nightmare client for a defence lawyer who doesn’t have much to work with both in terms of his skills or the case’s extenuating circumstances.
What we see here at Cyberaxis is a slow but undeniable unraveling 0f both Chris Brown and Rihanna Fenty. But it is Rihanna who is clearly in the more vulnerable position here. Remember she is the one who stood by her man when everything was against him. But unbeknownst to her, she is really in over her head this time and will most probably land in a rough spot unless she gets lucky and finds some nice guy who will protect her. But getting lucky that way has nothing to do with working out the mental and emotional kinks that put her in this position in the first place. The same advice applies to Chris Brown.
